Adobe Design Achievement Awards Calling For Entries

The 2008 ADAA is calling for entries!

There are 12 categories in 3 media areas and this year first time Mobile Design.

“The 2008 Adobe® Design Achievement Awards gives higher education students from around the world the creative license to propel their careers in the future. Enter in 12 categories in 3 media areas endorsed by the industry, over 60$K US in cash prizes will be awarded in New York City.

Submissions close May 2, 2008.”

Launch native executables from AIR

Mike Chambers has build a proof of concept software based on C#/.NET to support the ability to launch native executables from AIR.

The code is released Open Source under MIT license.

Photoshop CS3 Photomerge Panorama

I recently tried out the Photoshop CS3 automerge function which works really nice.

Check out this picture:

Simply select File->Automate->Photomerge. Browse for the photos you like to merge. Select the layout (I used auto) and crop the result.

The photo is made out of three photos shot with my cellular Sony Ericsson K800i 3 megapixel. The photo is made out of the Adobe Office in Hamburg.
